Pancreatic cancer is the most lethal cancer It's what killed Steve Jobs and apparently you know have a highly effective treatment for it.

Europe is completely screwed on the demographic side Europe needs to buy a US AI technology because well there is just no hope for Europe.
Their pension systems are so broken that they better hope for 10% GDP growth from AI and robotics because there is no other way... You cannot raise taxes 600% 😉

Sustainable deficits are equal to or less than GDP growth plus inflation.

At the moment that would be a 4.8% annual deficit.

In order to get debt to GDP to go down over time you want to run 1% below that to build up dry powder for emergencies like the occasional pandemic or GFC.

It's fascinating that at one point consumer Staples long-term growth expectations were 15% per year!

Growing at mag 7 like levels!

During the tech bubble Coca-Cola hit a PE of 60... And apparently the growth expectations were 10%... PEG of 6.

PEGY of 5.

Historically 2.4.

So 2x overvalued.
December 5, 2025 at 11:51 PM
PEGY analysis indicates approximately 8,300 on the S&P 500 in the next 12 months is justified by current fundamentals.

Do you see why the weekly economic index is at 2.3% and the New York Fed thinks that Q1 growth is going to be 2.2%?

All the good news is canceling out the bad news 😉

These charts appear scary however... Remember the job market is about 167 million people and actually understanding it is impossible it's all surveys and the average jobs report has a margin of error of 160,000 plus or minus.
December 5, 2025 at 11:44 PM
Good news about the job market.

The pace of layoffs is falling. Of course the private jobs numbers have been negative so potentially it is offsetting and unemployment will probably stay relatively steady.

I'm not sure exactly what 5 months of a study is going to prove but there have been several hundred studies on UBI that generally say it's a very good thing.

It's fascinating stuff but today is one of those days when I totally understand the doomers.

It's a glass half empty kind of day 😔
December 5, 2025 at 10:03 PM
The only hopeful thing I can think of right now is that 43% of US jobs can't be automated by AI yet.

It is a really tough day so I have nothing upbeat to say.
December 5, 2025 at 9:52 PM
Apparently a lot of scientists are wondering if they should publish research now or wait a year for AI to get better because then they'll be able to publish much quicker with more accuracy and so they are frozen and scared to publish because AI will always keep getting better.
