This may be true of certain portions of the churches and of individual parishes, but the roots of the issue go back to 19th century debates over whether newly appointed female deacons were “deaconesses” or “deacons” full stop

The whole “GAFCON traditionalists have this to say” framing too easily buys into their own reactionary posture, that having, say, female bishops is simply “capitulation to liberal secular culture”

No, it’s grounded in Nicene Christology, and the resources are easily available that spell this out
