Last week I said "I hope to use [my new GPU] for more than just playing No Man's Sky on Ultra" and that's true, but boy can it play No Man's Sky on Ultra.

Huh, only ~1700 on the new one. Interesting.
For reference, before my new GPU gets here: On my 1660 Super, Takenoko (the digital version of the board game) runs at approximately 1250 fps with v-sync off. Before I undervolted and set a quiet fan curve, it made my GPU the loudest it ever got, a sort of black-and-white-furmark.

Just found out it's being shipped by OnTrac. Oh well, it was nice to imagine I'd have a new GPU.
I went and ordered a new GPU after looking at options for... nearly 2 years?!? Jeez. Anyway, I hope to use it for more than just playing No Man's Sky on Ultra. Veilguard and BG3 someday, perchance, and maybe Death Stranding 2? (DS ran very well on my 1660, so maybe DS2 won't need much more on PC.)

Pretty sure I've already spent more time breaking apart the words for Ransom Notes than I'll ever get to spend playing it, and I've only done about 1/4 of them.

Okay, after posting this I remembered that I made NMS run much smoother by changing my monitor's QuickSync setting so it will sync to lower framerates (the old setting was 120-144 and now it goes down to 48). I just tested Fallout 4, and it runs normally now. That setting was wrong for 3.5 years.
I started Quantum Break a few months ago, and I've been meaning to get back to it, but at this point I might as well wait another week until I have this thing. Same with Spider-Man. And maybe Fallout 4 will run without microstutters (which improved with last year's CPU upgrade).

I went outside around 4:40 and saw a big ring around the moon, which is apparently known as a 22° halo. It was very cool and also made me wish I had a camera and/or phone that could have taken a picture of it. I probably should have tried my tablet, but I know my phone couldn't have.
