35% of heat loss in the home is lost through the walls and, if you have radiators on external walls, a lot of the heat coming out the back of the radiator will end up outside instead of in your home.

We've created a guide on how to fit radiator foils: cdn.prod.website-files.com/659fcf4688ac...

What energy tariff works best for you?
Dual tariff?
A fixed price or a tracker?
One where your prices change depending on the time of day - cheaper at night?
What about exporting if you have solar panels?

We can help explain the different types and how they could work for you

You could save money by having the heating lower when you're out the house or asleep. You can even set it to come on automatically 30mins before you wake up or get home to make sure you're returning to a warm home.

When boiling water in your kettle, only put in as much water as you need!
The more water you add, the longer it takes to boiler, the more electricity it uses.

Boiling your kettle for 1min a day costs around £5/yr. This'll add up if you're boiling a full kettle for 1 cup of tea multiple times a day!

Could you be better off on a water meter?

Draught tape and excluders are a relatively cheap way to save money on heating.

Did you know that you could save around £45 a year by turning electrical appliances off at the switch?

Lights cost money! So, if your TV has a red light on it or your microwave/oven has a digital clock, it will be using electricity.

Cold patches on radiators?
Bleeding your radiators is a quick way to get the most out of your heating.
Turn your heating off, turn the valve using a radiator key to release the air, as soon as water starts coming out, shut it off! Remember to check your boiler pressure afterwards

Keep your home at a min of 18c but you can turn down the radiators in rooms you don't use. Leave them on low to avoid damp but you may find that closed off rooms are being overheated.
Use the Thermostatic Radiator Valve, the dial located on the radiator itself, to turn it down

Estimated bills means that your energy supplier doesn't know how much energy you've used- they're guessing. So you might be paying more each month than you need to or you might pay for less energy than you actually use which will result in a large bill later on!
