It's been a long couple of days on the #AceCombat Wiki. Many images uploaded, many pages added or updated later, we now have plenty of info on #AceCombat8. God, that still feels weird to type.

To clarify, for those who didn't play #ACEINF: Infinity's loot boxes were free. What you paid for was the "stamina" (fuel) system to actually play the missions more than your free allowance. The loot boxes were awarded at the end of missions, regardless of free or paid fuel.

While this seems to imply some kind of loot box system or similar, we have no details yet. We'll obviously keep you updated as we find out more about the game.

The ESRB has not officially rated Ace Combat 8 yet, but the Xbox store listing appears to show a provisional T rating with a similar content label: "In-Game Purchases (Includes Random Items)".

In 2024, Australia introduced a new rule where games with chance-based purchases (i.e. paid loot boxes) cannot be classified lower than M. This is not the same thing as casino-style gambling which requires an R 18+ rating, which Ace Combat 8 does not have. www.classification.gov.au/classificati...

All other errors still remain: the National Missile Defense system was never built, Osea and Yuktobania couldn't have converted a non-existing Arkbird, the map linked to Grabacr/Ofnir/SOLG is still Sudentor, and Rena Hirose is still listed as joining GR in 2030 rather than 2031.

A new error is now present: All previous sources said Estovakia abandoned its offshore oil facilities (later used for Aigaion) on March 14, 1990. Aces At War: A History 2019 and the Chronicles page had both March 14 and October 8 listed. The page now only has October 8 listed.
