Etihad A350 flight from Zurich to Abu Dhabi. The plan was to use time compression once at cruise, but the aircraft was so unstable, even at 2x, that the only way to complete the flight was at 1x. This really limits my opportunities for longhaul with the A350. #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

Why have I never flown to Donegal? This small airport is hand modelled by default in #MSFS. Aer Lingus' only domestic Irish flight links Dublin and Donegal and we take the ATR72-600 "St Elvis" (yes, really!) to enjoy sunset in NW Ireland. #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

Vilnius to Stockholm Bromma in the Pilatus PC24. As I get more familiar with this jet & its Honeywell avionics, the more I enjoy it. Although the Carenado model isn't "study level" by any means, it has enough features to be flexible, automated but customisable. #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

When I first tested the PC24 in the early days of #MSFS2024, it was almost unflyable. Glad to say, it is now flyable and an enjoyable experience. This first flight, from Lubeck to Vilnius was about familiarisation- the Honeywell avionics in particular are unfamiliar. #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

Loganair ATR 72-600 flight from a sunny Edinburgh to a heavily fog-bound Manchester this morning; this was as close to an Autoland as its possible to get in an ATR, especially as the aircraft is only certified Cat II. #MSFS2024 #FlightSim #Aviation #AVGeek

I gave the Diamond DA62, a default plane in #MSFS2024, an outing, flying on from Florence to the airport at Marina di Campo on the Italian Island of Elba. It flew the sector well, behaving and responding well to both automatic and manual controls. #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

I do miss the iniBuilds aircraft being able to do the really effective cruise flight acceleration that PMDG can achieve with their upto 8x smart speed, which make really long haul flights possible in a reasonable timeframe without the risk of loss of control. I'd like the same with iniBuilds.

The Honda Jet is a good choice for a small business jet to cover this route from Innsbruck to Florence in Tuscany, Italy. Though a 2020 aircraft, it flies well enough in #MSFS2024. #Flightsim #Aviation #AVGeek

Aer Lingus are introducing an Airbus A330-300 on their Dublin-Madrid flights on Fridays and Sundays for extra capacity, improving both the Irish Tapas and Spanish Guinness weekend markets. Just spotted that Heathrow has a twin ATC tower. I thought I'd disabled the #MSFS2024 Gaya Premium Deluxe EGLL when enabling iniBuilds, and indeed I had, but the MSFS2020 Heathrow had seemingly decided to stream itself as well.

ATR 72-600 Binter Canary Island hop from Lanzarote to Gran Canaria.Once again all well until we reach the ILS. This time, pitch trim refuses to go nose down, even in manual flight- another go-around. Onwards from Birmingham in another ATR, this time Loganair to the Isle of Man- enjoying my Tunnocks! Streamdecks do make a positive difference, but changing from GPS FMS route to ILS approach once again induced some very unexpected behaviour, necessitating go-around. #MSFS2024 #Flightsim #Aviation

Braving the ATR in #MSFS2024. Aurigny EGJB-EGBB Not too bad, it behaved most of the flight, though approach & ILS non-interception required manual intervention. I now need to re-configure my Streamdecks for ATR profile, as they will I hope make cockpit descent management easier. #Flightsim #Aviation
