One of the signs that @google is winning the AI integration race:

They can plug all their tools into the places where everyone is ALREADY working.

Example: Google Slides now has built in image generation/editing with Nano Banana just by clicking an image

My wish list for the browser wars:

Sync across devices and iOS app

@perplexity Comet is now halfway there

I used to stuff custom GPTs with all the instructions they can hold

Now I use a /command mapped to a knowledge file structure that is more effective AND easier to create. A contractor who helped build the Custom GPT product at OpenAI did a webinar on this but I've never been able to find a record

My first try with Notebook LM creating an infographic clearly showed it's not using the same model as creating infographics natively in @google Gemini

This frame is just a fraction of the whole infographic, and is riddled with misspellings and classic "AI image generated text slop"

Black Friday morning: some are camping outside Best Buy for doorbuster deals.

Me? I spent 15 minutes haggling with a Gen Z chatbot from Kimi K2 to unlock a $0.99/month AI subscription.

*Yes, I did get it down to 99 cents, and yes I subscribed!

All I want for Christmas is iMessage to allow sending contacts.

We can send Game Pigeon invites and memojis, but not contacts?

"Which fancy equipment should I buy to start making videos?"

People ask me this question all the time, and my answer will never change

Use the phone or camera you already have and make 100 videos before you buy a single thing

I made most of my videos on a 1-2 year old iPhone with a $15 mou

Nano Banana Pro is unbelievably good at creating infographics

Step 1: @descript transcribed the audio of a four hour long workshop

Step 2: Underlord created a detailed prompt for an image generation based on the transcript summary & some specifics I wanted

Step 3: Nano Banana Pro generated

The @google Nano Banana Pro hype is...real!

There is no other image model that can do:
-search realtime data
-incorporate landmarks
-nail a style from a text prompt
AND
-create accurate and consistent text in complex ways

The longer you use AI tools, the more clearly you see connections to where your work lives being far more valuable than model hype or benchmarks.

One of my favorite rituals prepping for a workshop or conference talk is grabbing the hand in the middle of this diagram and spinning it

For today's AI training, it is clear that @google gets the honor!

Markdown is a great format to write with, but terrible to read & navigate in a .md file (I usually do this in @windsurf )

So with one prompt I made a simple web app in @figma Make that turns .md files into nested tabs that are color coded and easy to navigate

Someone needs to disconnect my PerplexityAI email assistant

This thing is too much fun!

Here's an example: someone shares slides, I reply to @ perplexity assistant and tell it to thank him, say i'm excited for Thursday, and insert a knock-knock joke about Gen X needing tech help at Thanksgivin

You don't have to be a "technical" person to shape how our world does or does not use AI

There has always been a place for others (read: people in the humanities!) to weigh in on how technologies are applied

You don't have to be a mechanic to drive a car, or an electrical engineer to use a lig

AI is everywhere, even in places where the "I don't use AI" people hang out

I mean, I have an identical twin

But this was still confusing and funny at the same time!
November 7, 2025 at 11:26 PM
Is anyone else "over" slides?

Giving presentations or doing live webinars with a whiteboard style format is more functional and open-ended

Shoutout @figma FigJam for being the best at this

After 6 hours of recording, Rode Wireless Pro II mic still has 22% battery, impressive!

Everyone giving a talk or presentation should capture it and transcribe or audiogram it for content

I was skeptical that @perplexity_ai assistant could handle email requests for meetings on its own

After trying it out, I'm convinced everyone should have their own executive assistant managing their emails & calendar

It responded to a request for a meeting, offered openings on my calendar, the

"But how are AI agent browsers ACTUALLY useful?"

Good question! Here is one of my favorites: when context is spread out across browser tabs, have the agent do the work without copy & pasting it all yourself

Example: I have a 7 post thread in @chatgptapp Canvas in one tab

But I want it draft

@OpenAI has been releasing new features and products like crazy

But this is the single best @chatgptapp update that no-one is using

Now we just need the chats nested under the main branch in the sidebar instead of duplicating the chat name exactly

I have officially reached the "making Descript videos about Descript videos" stage

No need to send help

It's not "agentic", but @notion 's AI agent is the best built in chat tool I've ever used

+ can be customized with a system prompt
+ has a modal to change underlying model
+ knows how to use the Notion platform (so many other built in AI tools can't use their own app well)
+ bonus points for c
