hugo: euc surely gave him a piece of jewelry at some point so that maybe
euc: certified loverboy so lots of things remind him of hugo, sometimes for no reason. books mainly. walking through a library calms him down as it reminds him of the past

euc: hugo is considerate and kind though he usually does things in the background. he's devoted to others at the expense of himself and always undermines his own actions. euclase finds this both endearing and irritating. he wants hugo to realize people appreciate him

hugo: loves that euclase puts everything in all he does, how his status never gets to his head (though hugo thought otherwise at first). euc goes out of his way to talk with everyone that works for him, for example. he knows all the palace staff by name

euc: hard to say... hugo's appearance has nothing to do with it. maybe his smile? euc would say something like i love everything about you ❤️ (genuine) (sound of hugo's mind malfunctioning)

hugo is a big acts of service guy. rarely ever says his feelings outright. he won't even tell people What he did to help 🤧 euc is also acts of service, and gift giving. loves to spoil his loved ones

i have figured out the Specifics... but there'd be a lot of plot relevant stuff in the way. in my mind their relationship is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it subplot and they're both dedicated to their jobs . so i imagine their different priorities would make it burn Even slower

hugo was born into a noble family while euc was raised by his mother who had to work multiple jobs to get by. they met in school where they were both treated as outcasts (though euc is better at socializing). they're both hard workers who'd do anything for one(1) family member

but bc euc is the. King. and his people love him and would crowd around him id imagine a day trip around town would hardly count as a date. they both prefer the quiet anyway. tea in a garden gazebo is their go-to outdoor activity

i feel like this scenario changes a lot in my mind but at the moment it happens in their dorm room while they're studying. euc asks hugo um c-can i k-kiss you.... and hugo's like ok . and then in the future something similar happens but hugo's the one who asks ☺️
