Starts almost as a romance (woman meets man, takes him back to her place), turns into Hitchcockian thriller when she finds her husband's dead body... then it disappears, then reappears again?? Great film, will leave you guessing. 😵😵😵😵😵/5

Romance didn't work for me, FMC was too maternal towards her supposed love interest, snowman was funny but too stupid to be a plausible. Best bit wwas Doug Judy and Boyle from Brooklyn 99, whole thing should have just been them. ☃️☃️☃️☃️💧/5

#NetflixChristmas Reviews 2024 #6: Twas the Text Before Christmas. Inspired by that Thanksgiving story, a wrong number text leads to a lonely woman spending Christmas with a strange family. This is a genuinely lovely film, the wholesome family dynamics work, the love story is well earned. 🌲🍷❄️☃️🥧/5

girl has meet cute, then a FAKE meet cute. Her quest to track down fake cute leads to her falling in love with the friend she made along the way. There's also a Pentatonix sub-plot, reminiscent of the McFly subplot in Just My Luck. Fun.

#NetflixChristmas Reviews 2024 #4: The Snow Sister (Snøsøsteren).

Very sad. Looked like a kids film, but would have upset me way too much if I'd watched it as a child. A good film, but didn't make me feel very Christmassy.

Girl is fired from show, goes to small town, parents' bar needs money so starts show with topless men, saves Christmas, falls in love, decides to not go back to New York. 2 cameos of other Netflix xmas films. Not amazing, not awful.

If #NetflixChristmas did the Full Monty. An out-of-time dancer (first scene) goes home and saves her parents’ bar by getting local men to strip. Why are they doing this? Don’t they have jobs? 🤷🏻‍♀️ . But it’s fun, and knowingly silly.

Punny title wasted. Small town chocolate maker needs an investor. He arrives from NY, improves sales, is kind; they fall in love before Winterfest, an important January holiday. No jeopardy, no B plot, no real hair colours. Pleasant.

Hard to concentrate on the plot due to the musak playing in every single scene that is too loud and often doesn't fit with with what's going on. One of the worst films we've watched in the 7 years we've been doing this.

#NetflixChristmas Reviews 2024 #2: 'Fall into Winter' sweet shop woman attempts enemies to lovers with man she has no chemistry with to a soundtrack of public domain musak. The kiss at the end (spoilers) is weirdly cut, b couple are cuter and more compelling

Best. Christmas. Ever. A couple visit old friends whose round-robin suggests they have a perfect life. Turns out they do. Level of self-awareness varies wildly. Tonally all over the place. Polystyrene snowmen. Some good jokes. "Santa believes in us". 🎈💌🏠🚙⛄️/5.

Has chess scene where main character claims "check" but it's clearly not check, but the "checkmate" on the next move looks valid. Rest of film is quite boring. Best bit is Princess Switch playing on TV in background of one scene.
