Big Mahalo to today's stellar stewards! Awesome progress made today digging out invasive species like buffelgrass. So great to find native plants already in here that will now have room to grow! We had a little bit of rain towards the end and we hope for a lot more in the weeks ahead. Mahalo Nui

It was a hot one today! The crew started slowly and moved into buffel grass removal into the morning. Keeping previously cleared areas free of buffel grass is one of those really important tasks, as much as we want to push ahead, we cannot neglect these spaces that have been outplanted.

Big Mahalo to Krista Jaspers!

"I found more than I could carry in just 20 minutes! Unfortunately it’s hard to clean here bc of the fishermen right now - the reef could really use a break!"

Today's cleanup was at Tracks/Kahe! Cleaned up a total of:
Lead Weight (lbs): 14
Fishing Line (ft): 100

A wonderful Tuesday this week of Thanksgiving! 🦃 We split into rubbish and invasive plants teams and everyone did solid work. Recent rains have woken native plant seeds and have given us a hint of what's to come in newly opened areas. Everyone had fun pulling out the koa haole roots as well.
