Final Thoughts: The Big Sick is the autobiographical story of how Kumail Nanjiani and Emily Gordon met. The comedian and psychologist meet up, date a few times, before Emily gets sick. He stands by her with her parents. It's a touching and happy story. Well done. #hatm

When I moved to NYC, I flew and then waited for my things to arrive. I bought a bed, a TV, and a TV stand (lugging it over a mile). While there. I rented a truck when I moved out.

Moving to Auburn: I drove but used a self-move trucking company to deliver my boxes. Well executed. #hatm

thanks to the commercials on Plex, I still have 5 minutes to go. But it's been a blast.

That said: @herberthistory.bsky.social can take days to post the next movie. #hatm

Honor killings have occurred in North America. #hatm

Oh sure, abandon us for a volcano! #hatm :)

The times I went under, I came back up feeling like my head was full of concrete. Then the bill came. My insurance covered almost all my bills, which was awesome - but the sole exception was the anesthesiologist. Fortunately I could pay it. #hatm

Ive received a call like that. But it was the opposite news. #hatm

Im watching this on Plex - lots of commercials. #hatm

This is why I dont go to the drive thru. #hatm

i once wrote to an old girlfriend's parents. She had tragically passed away so I wanted to let them know how much she meant to me. I never heard back but I can only imagine that they appreciated my thoughts. I acknowledged them all in my book. #hatm

Please don't. I have enough on my plate right now. #hatm

I never got into the modern series, but I loved the classic ones. #hatm

My biggest fear during my hospital times was waking up in another hospital - in a bigger city like Birmingham, Columbus, or Atlanta. #hatm

One of my professors ordered me a bouquet of flowers in a jar when they found out I was in the hospital. I still have the jar. #hatm

I never watched The X-Files. #hatm

IMDB says that Emily's real parents are nothing like Ray Romano and Holly Hunter. That's a pity because they're amazing in this movie. #hatm

I once joked about my colleague in grad school going goth. Fortunately she laughed back. Still great friends. I sent her an autographed copy of my book. #hatm

Woo hoo ECU!!! #hatm

I wish more people here realized that their country has bad history too. #hatm

I found out later that there's a community near me named for a Confederate! #hatm

Rest up! I know the feeling! #hatm

My city has a park named after Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. Not the most honorable of people, but the city once had a school named for Cecil Rhodes. I told an African historian about it: they almost threw up. A Civil War historian said it was as bad as a Confederate. #hatm

The U.S. has the best quality health care on the planet, but it's increasingly reserved for fewer people. That must change. #hatm

I love watching a British documentary about surgeons. Oh they are gods. It must take years to learn these procedures. I feel ashamed to have the word Doctor in front of my names. I am nowhere near their skillset. I feel as if I can sort of write a 20 page essay. #hatm

Oh, I learned after I had an operation that my family and friends waited for me. They must have been in agony. #hatm

I had to go to the hospital recently - I'm fine - but I contacted two nearby friends about my condition. If I had needed them they would have come to see me. Amazingly, I was out in two hours. #hatm

We need more doctors. The cost of medical school is way too much and deterring otherwise qualified candidates from starting. #hatm

It's Ray Romano! He went to my beloved alma mater, Queens College of the City University of New York. I started my graduate program there 30 years ago this year. Wow. Yeah I failed hard, but I am very proud that I went there. I met my mentor there. #hatm

When I was in the hospital years ago, I was very grateful for the support from my colleagues and friends. Several showed up to my room on their own time. #hatm

Im grateful: it means they're serious and know what they're doing. #hatm
