Had a sort of peachy colour today which is quite hard to see but it's there! Our youngest member is very into K-Pop Demon Hunters right now so I was persuaded to draw Huntrix while she drew the Saja boys for our final sketching round 😆 (she already did Huntrix the previous round 🤣)
I’m not going to be partaking again this year, I have other stuff I need to work on, but I wanted to put it out there again anyway in case others were interested!
Fancy a drawing challenge that’s just a little bit of silly fun? Did you also get 4 days into #Inktober and admit defeat?😆 Last year I created #NoPressureNovember inspired largely by the local Sketch Group I attend and the low-pressure drawings we do. 20 mins max each day and no right or wrong!
Today I spent the first half of art group just playing around trying to cope with the gardeners right outside our room using the chipper 😅 so freakin' loud! But then I quick-sketched dynamic duo Tina and Marje who were sat across from me....I did take a sneaky photo so I could reference them 🤣
Another busy art group today!! I went back to my pen drawing from last week and did a little more of that. It's a bit wonky, but that's ok 🤣. Then I stopped, and in the last 10 minutes, I sketched John, who was sitting in front of me, with felt tips 🤣🤣
Lovely art group session today!! 99% finished the pen on the drawing I started last week. Might think about adding a little bit of watercolour next week if I'm feeling brave 🤣
Didn't feel super today, but I'm glad I got out to see humans! 🤣. I started a pen drawing referencing some houses from one of my favourite anime. If anyone recognises it, I'll be wildly impressed. Hopefully, I will finish it next week and maybe even add some watercolour if I'm feeling brave!
Got the oil pastels out at art group today! I "cheated" a tiny bit because I had such a small area left, so I finished it when I got home. I knew it would never happen otherwise 🤣🤣
I also forgot! Art group was rather hot yesterday today, and I had to leave a little early, so I just went for the classic "pen sketch, referencing a photo on my phone," which was fun! I had some colourful pieces of card I made recently by putting wet tissue paper on top and the colour runs.
10-minute abstract drawing inspired by a random memory from over 10 years ago when I was sitting in an almost empty room in the middle of nowhere, waiting for my dad and reading Lord of the Rings. I found a ladybird caught up in a cobweb and rescued it.
Last Sketch Club until September today 😭 but a super fun session ! 🤣! And listen..if an awesome 7 year old wants you to draw their Labubu (is that how you spell it? Am I down with the kids?) with them...you do it!
I was in a collage mood at my art group today. I honestly just made this up as I went along, so there wasn't a lot of thought to it 🤣 but I enjoyed myself!
SKETCHING! By golly, it was warm today, and I..did not feel all that well, BUT it was all fine and lots of fun!
30 minute incredibly silly Present Mic sketch for his birthday today! 🤣! #mha #myheroacademia #presentmic #HappyBirthdayPresentMic #hizashiyamada
Did some sketches of my cat whilst he was lying on me..and then my bed. Not the best thing ever, but I did quite well considering he kept moving 🤣 and sleeps in some wacky positions!
Today I decided I wanted to do a sort of…abstracty/stylised drawing and I’ve had the song “Midnight Train to Georgia” in my head for about 2 weeks now so.. I did this based on a photo reference I found online. I was quite impatient with it but, fortunately the style lends itself to imperfections 😅
I still really like this drawing, I have fond memories of doing it! So always lovely to make a sale of it!
Went to visit the little open day at the church where I attend my Tuesday art group, and did some sewing crafts with a few familiar faces! How hecking cute is this?!
SKETCHING! Lovely session today. I had a very light yellow colour pen, so it's quite hard to see in the photos. After drawing flowers for our first couple of sketches, I went and found a space in the corner of the cafe to get some people-like shapes instead 🤣
Very quiet art group today, but still lovely, of course! I had a bit of a headache, so I didn't get too adventurous. Used a combination of a few photos I took at the Mid-Summer Watch parade and made a fun sketch. I'm pretty happy with it for what it is! Think it gets a general feel of the setting.
Far Away. I’m usually not a “draw a random girl for the sake of it” kind of artist but I keep listening to the ‘First Take’ version of Sparkle by Lilas Ikuta since I randomly came across it on YouTube, and whenever I see the thumbnail I think, “I’d like to use that as a drawing reference” …so I did!
I didn't share my sketches from yesterday narrrrrrr
HERE YOU GO!
Shoutout to little doggy who stood still long enough for me to get his shape even when tempted with toast.
How DO you solve a problem like Maria? You don’t!
Random doodle of the day 😆
Back to my art group and back on the charcoal!! This was a bit mad, but I was referencing a photo I took at the park a little while ago. I'm not sure if it comes across that it is a pond but..I tried and I had fun 🤣
Off to post an incredibly generous etsy shop order!! I can't fault their choices...😉😆 #SebastianStan #BuckyBarnes
