My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.
We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.
We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

Wasn't familiar with Glen Baxter until I picked up this book at the thrift store today. Very funny and surreal, from the early 70s

maybe they scratch him 5 more and do the AHL 2 week loophole but I'd be surprised at this point if we see Brunicke again this year. easy to imagine it going sideways if his play doesn't improve & that's last thing that can happen this year (minus injury)

salary caps are anti-worker especially in a system where players cannot even choose their own employer or where they live/work for up to a decade, let players negotiate their fair worth from the start & be paid what they're worth the same as every other job (and sport on the planet outside the US)
I mean, MLB needs true revenue sharing, a team salary floor, a better cap system, and the league needs to jettison owners which won't even attempt to field good teams.
Would the baseball union even *consider* negotiating player salary caps if they could achieve those aims? I, sadly, doubt it.

it's becoming tough to predict this FO but I'd be surprised if Kindel and Brunicke end the season here
