A photo at the Vancouver Hack Space (https://vanhack.ca) during the Eastside Culture Crawl last weekend. The setting is an industrial interior space with terrible lighting (sorry, VHS). On a nearby shelf are some v cool sculptures made of laser-cut components, the one we see most fully is a sphere made of (I think) sort of triangular pieces. On the wall behind is a trail of LED light fixtures in the form of directional arrows, leading the eye toward a sign that says PLEASE DO NOT GENDER THE LASER CUTTER.

He was 90 in this photo and had seen the evolution of leather as it existed to that point; his view was that the legend of "old guard" was invented in the 1980s to legitimise a certain kind of practise.

I wasn't sure what I was going to get but sure enough they were salty and sour.
A picture of the label on a jar of (actually quite delicious) pickles with part of the design in metallic green foil, part in black ink, and part a 4 colour photo, on white. There is some text in Persian that I can't read, and, in English it says "CANNED FAMILY PICKLED CUCUMBERS". Above it is fairly attractive logo of a ?woman with a crown reminiscent of a stellar goddess, rising from a pair of leaves.
