Sami's parents were incredibly restrictive so she ran away from home to be an adventurer when her childhood friend left for Gridania. Neither side has made an attempt to contact the other since and Sami feels weird when her adventures have her pass through Southern Thanalan where they live.

The only one I can think of is Koana, and that’s more just Sami meaninglessly trying to prove she’s the better shot (since they’re both MCHs) and magitek expert whenever they’re supposed to be working together.
#wolqotd is there a scion or other major character your wol has extremely petty, personal beef with, warranted or not? pls give me the details

Mamala Mala is Sami’s childhood best friend, currently residing in Gridania. She kept Sami out of trouble when they were kids. Mamala uses a mix of conjury and blue magic to support her allies after the elementals rejected her learning white magic. She has a crippling addiction to the Gold Saucer.

Sokhatai Oronir left the Steppe after being spurned by Magnai to get stronger than him to spite him. She brawls with powerful and wild claw-like attacks. She spends most of her time following Alphinaud around, who she’s similar in age to. She insists her brawn and his brains complement each other.

Auriana is half-Garlean and half-Ala Mhigan and spent a lot of her life in the Bloodsands. She begrudgingly helps out but has a lot of pent up resentment due to both Eorzeans and Garleans mistreating her, but is a kind person at her core. She’s looking for a peaceful place to settle down in.
