I wouldn’t say l’m a pngtuber- more of a pnghaver. Occasionally streaming at https://www.twitch.tv/2cat2curious The sub-account where 2cat talks about vtubers and streaming. pfp (and the model it comes from!) by @julieraptor.bsky.social

sometimes you have a nice chill #gunpla stream, and sometimes you immediately show a new viewer why they should never take your advice.

(also she's really popular because she's done cool art for so many people and i can weasel my way into meeting people i have NO business being on casual chilling terms with)
I know it's kinda lame-sounding but even though it's technically "working" it's a nice change from my usual, and it's really the only time I'm comfortable engaging with random passerby. Plus, Kairui's stuff is super cute and I like telling people about it!
Meanwhile, I spent all day every day in meet and greet lines seeing nearly nothing else. It was cool, and I was glad to have those, but it made the entire event a slog. This year as an exhibitor, I had a purpose and something to focus on besides wandering around or waiting in line!
Last year's Twitchcon was pretty rough- I got to do a lot of fun stuff and meet a lot of people, but SO MUCH of the event is in off-location clubs and parties, if you either don't get invited to them, don't get a ticket to them, or can't/don't want to go clubbing in the Gaslamp, you're missing
I compare it to Offkai a lot- an event with good vibes, a dedicated staff, and tenuous funding that I'm happy to travel for. Twitchcon has enough money to fill any cracks, but the visible front-line staff seemed like they didn't know they were going to be working at a streaming convention that day
The vibes are always a little weird- a lot of people go to Twitchcon for networking and marketing and desperately try to get followers/clients the whole time, others go as fans of specific streamers but dgaf about 99% of the other content. Don't do esports or drink powdered drink mixes? Good luck.
My ticket was gonna be $250 for three days, but my affiliate referral link could get me a free ticket if enough people bought through it, which makes sense for this kind of event but damn bro. In the end, since I got an exhibitor spot with Kairui it was covered by that, but still damn.
I'll probably do a stream at some point and fully yap about twitchcon but it was fun! It's not always my favorite con- a lot of the in-building events are gated behind partner status so even as an affiliate it kinda feels like you're just there to absorb ads, and the tickets are NOT cheap.
(the overdraw notice wasn't real, it was just another "hi we're your bank" emails)
The first morning after twitchcon- I can't turn my neck to the right, my voice sounds like a rock tumbler, and I just got an email from my bank with "overdraw notice" in the title, but honestly this was the best time I think I've ever had there.
yeah there's water... but I also have a case of Ito En green tea...
Me, tired, sore, probably hung over, but happy seeing that @rosedoodle.bsky.social is having a nice twitchcon despite being nervous about it.
For YEARS, at EVERY convention where I work with @kairuichan.bsky.social ppl buy our Ironmouse blankets to give/send to her, so I joked "I'd bring you one but you probably already have like 100 of them at this point" and weeeeelp
Me running back to Artist Alley at #twitchcon after telling Ironmouse that I'm working at the booth that makes that one blanket people keep giving her at every convention, but she says her family keeps taking all her cute blankets and she can't find any.
What’ll it be, Jack? Loyalty to your Trainer or loyalty to me?
Day 1 of twitchcon is in the books!
Okay wait I'm not done yet- I was waxing nostalgic on stream after Twitch set off a little fanfare for hitting 70 followers and it made me remember that last year at this time I had seven! Thanks for sticking around and dropping in to say howdy, despite my best attempts to shake y'all off.
Stream over! I never expected to go 6 hours, but thank you to everyone in chat who kept me from actually losing my mind trying to make these parts fit. The top of the head and horn refusing to seat right probably took a year off my life, but I'm not entirely unhappy with the results so far.
the fit on some of these parts is SO cheeks uuuuugh

I really want to try to sneak another stream or two in before Twitchcon next week, so stay tuned for a possible Gunpla or Hades2 stream tonight!
Honestly, the Shorts version of this video is "better" in that it's a LOT tighter and has better editing and funny added graphics, but the horizontal version has a slightly better explanation of "what's actually happening" however.
