OTD 1955: Larry Doby was traded to the White Sox after eight great seasons in Cleveland. Later Doby would become the 2nd Black MLB manager when the White Sox hire him in 1978. Also? Doby debuted with Cleveland vs the White Sox in 1947. Designate July 5 as Larry Doby Day @mlb.

Dave Roberts seems pretty happy that the Dodgers are “ruining” baseball. Personally, I just find the Dodgers to be boring. It’s Major League Baseball that needs to step up.

Since the Guards were knocked out, Tigers fans seem emboldened to act like weirdos. I’ve never had so many of ‘em in my Twitter mentions. Not sure why they’re not just focused on their team.

On this day in Cleveland Baseball History, we found out Terry Francona was hired as our manager. I remember exactly where I was when I heard the news. I am happy with the Stephen Vogt Era — but forever grateful for everything Tito did to resurrect Cleveland Baseball ⚾️❤️

Guardians relief pitcher Zak Kent was absolutely giddy about giving up a 3-run go-ahead homer to the Rangers first baseman Rowdy Tellez. The reason why? It allowed for his teammate Brayan Rocchio to do something awesome.
