Vibing with a strong Europe and with freedom, democracy and rule of law. Not with populism, tyranny, aggression, slavery, genocide, ecocide... Siding with Ukraine🇺🇦 and with the people(!) of Palestine🇵🇸. #NAFO #FBPE DMs or targeted posts: I may not respond.

Are there plans for a European strategic bomber? Something like a stealthy Avro Vulcan or rather like a B-52?
We can always benefit from more silliness.😁

So, by that logic, the US should be handed over to the UK, because "the region is predominantly English-speaking"?
WaPo: Witkoff pressed Ukrainian delegation on handing over Donetsk region to Russia during a meeting on Friday.

He used Kremlin's key argument that “the region is predominantly Russian-speaking”.

To imagine what “russian speakers” think of Putin, imagine what I think of him—I’m from such region.
So we're wasting resources, not just money but the human capabilities of our nascent Dutch drone industry. There should not be such waste in this perilous era.
I hope so, and I'm trying to breathe. But my country should invest in European research projects in this area, which will actually also benefit the Netherlands greatly.
And there we go again. NL chooses cowboykit no-matter-what. European strategic autonomy? Nice for empty talk. When it comes to actual procurement choices, transatlantic dependence is what we go for. 🤦‍♂️

@demiurg.bsky.social: what is the EU doing about it? Why are we not procuring stuff collectively?
Netherlands Joins U.S. Collaborative Combat Aircraft Program

The RNLAF becomes the first European air force to join the U.S. Air Force’s CCA initiative, and aims to assume a leading role in the development of the “loyal wingman” drone.

Thanks for pointing me at that area! I might actually go there. 😍
Lo so.😬
Both countries are culturally very similar and it seems that there's an unbearable cross-admiration which looks like "hate". But my grandpa (from Veneto) would literally refuse to have French wine, at least among others. I wouldn't be surprised of he would have it in secret.
In Italy and France, there doesn't need to be a special reason to argue about something. It's a habit, it's part of life as much as breathing, and, yes, even as much as - for older generations - wine and cheese themselves. Without factual basis of course.

(I'm exposed to Italian frequently.)

Reports from Orenburg say an explosion occurred near the local gas processing plant. No official confirmation yet, but local channels are pointing to a possible UAV strike.

This morning, Ukraine hit Russia’s Novokuybyshevsk refinery in Samara, one of Rosneft’s key plants, processing 8.8M tons of crude annually, about 3% of Russia’s total refining capacity. Located ~1000km from Ukraine’s border, the site has been targeted before in previous strikes.

Atesh carried out sabotage on a key communications node in Bryansk region, disabling a tower that coordinated Russian forces and border units. The strike is said to have disrupted command centers, including border service units, the 84th engineer‑airfield battalion and a Rosgvardia regiment
This is EXACTLY what motivates me. Thank you!
The foundational beliefs of freedom, democracy and rule of law are extremely valuable and fragile if not assertively defended.
We need a much tougher approach towards domestic, foreign-funded populist traitors that undermine Europe's aspirations. 🇪🇺👊

If the EU collapses along with the descent of the USA into fascism, then EVERYONE around the world is in trouble.
And it would mean liberal democracies would be isolated, undermined, and usurped one by one.

It is VITAL that Europe and the #EU stands united together along with its allies.

I've supported the #EU as a concept for decades. My whole life really.
I have a British and German background. My family fought on opposite sides of WW2.

For me, the EU always meant the healing of that divide.

It feels even more important now.

Trump rejected Zelensky’s push for Tomahawk missiles in what sources described as a “tough” and at times emotional 2.5-hour meeting. After a long call with Putin the day before, Trump made clear his focus is now on diplomacy, not escalation.

Putin put Trump back to factory settings.

A Polish judge refused to extradite a Ukrainian citizen to Germany, arguing that if Ukraine carried out a mission to destroy enemy pipelines, such actions would be lawful during a war. The judge emphasized that Ukrainian soldiers, including special forces, cannot be labeled terrorists or saboteurs.

Austria has dropped its objections and agreed to support the EU’s 19th sanctions package against Russia. Vienna had previously demanded that frozen Russian assets be partially unfrozen to compensate Raiffeisen Bank for fines imposed by Moscow, but this was rejected by other member states.
