10K has its first sets of really high quality playtest counters in-hand! Previous versions had various misalignments and cutting problems, except one set that was perfect but printed in miniature. I have a lot more sympathy now for game companies that have had these problems for many years.

Soviet manpower is shockingly complex. The 1939 census was manipulated to make Stalin happy. Modern Russian numbers sometimes vary from disputatious academic numbers. The former republics obviously didn't inherit copies of accurate numbers, if accurate numbers ever existed.

I came across these pics in a US manual about German railroads earlier this week. The hook rips the ties, that's obvious. What seems riskier is that the chute is for sliding a demolition charge from the car to the track, where it automatically clips to the rail.
