Drawtober 14-Needy

As a shaman destined to have a shaman daughter, Scrawny Marten's position in her tribe was very important. The conception of her daughter was a serious matter, involving specific rituals.

So her first experience was not the best. Her and Cave Lion had to take things very slowly.

Sorry didn't have the time to respond! It's a mirror armour, with plates bound together by mail. The lamellar look is just decorative

Not sure why that feature exists (maybe for horse riding indeed, as @buddel.bsky.social mentioned), but it's quite common in 16th century plate armours, so I decided to go for it. Many times there was also a codpiece there, but I didn't add it this time.

Drawtober 13-Siege

As a siege lasting years comes to an end, an old soldier decides to adopt the scrungliest catfolk orphan in town. Some scars always remain, but they'll be together at least!

People tend to forget it, but it wasn't unusual for sieges to go on for years or even decades in the past

Same! I loved these books as a kid, but the bias against some species always irked me, especially since I've always loved foxes and mustelids.

That story with a baby stoat being adopted by the abbey folk only to turn out evil anyway was so infuriating!

These two doctors seem to have quite a different approach to healing this patient, who do you think has the better idea? :P

Non-humans are immune to human diseases, so Cat Medic needs no protection. The disease in question wiped out 50% of the human population in some areas.

I can't remember if I've shared the whole Lôf story here yet, and how he got the bf! His name is Arno, in any case!

And yes, he's almost 2 and a half metres tall, a big boi!

Drawtober 11-Bake

Now that a boyfriend has been secured, Lôf is still trying to improve his standing in human society, and decided to try becoming a baker! Sadly I don't think he realises how much hair he loses around. Maybe he can market the bread as "high fiber content"! :P
