Curious how warlord country colours are now eerily similar to the Keiserreich colour scheme 🤔🤔🤔

I'm sure it must be a koinky-dink
Yea, if you read into the parallels between Jon Snow and Fitz Chivalry you can pretty much figure out how JS got out of the "conundrum" in the last book. Because his fate is pretty much identical to what happens to Fitz at some point in the Farseer Trilogy
If anyone is curious about the plot: think Game of Thrones if written by a woman but almost solely focused on Jon Snow, Vargs and a bit of the Baratheon story line
Oh I have a treat. Robin Hobb's Farseer Trilogy. Actually shook my egg quite a bit when I first read it. It has a male POV character; while the writing style of sex scenes gives WLW (author is a woman).

I was only able to pinpoint years later that what I felt while reading it was gender envy
Unpopular opinion on difference in internet visibility of trans fems vs trans mascs.

ppl fail to consider that male-designated spaces receive more visibility by default.

A.k.a. the trans girls who are visible on Reddit have already been there waaaaay before their eggs cracked.
Haiiiiiii, babygirl :3
For cis ppl saying "ma'am" or "sir" is "good manners". and not being able to choose an appropriate pronoun feels like failure to behave politely. I realised it when I got into a tiny quarrel and the person got extremely irritated when they couldn't tell which pronouns to use to talk back at me
Of course that's not the only reason they get defensive. Sometimes it's pure bigotry. But queer ppl (me included) fail to realise, gender is extremely important to cis ppl. Pronouns are actually ridiculously important to them, but in a different way than for trans & non-binary people
cis ppl get defensive about misgendering i.a. cus they don't know accidental misgendering isn't the end of the world. They DO feel shame about misgendering - subconsciously. Their brains scream: "I haven't misgendered anyone in my life, how the f... could I f... up so badly at such a basic thing?"
That being said, the saving grace on part of the Devs was not making this a balance of power mechanic and each faction can gain bonuses/maluses more or less independently
For example, if my dockyards produce things at an increased cost and my mils at a decreased cost: I'll just build a few more dockyards to offset the "price structure".
I really like the changes. With some small exceptions. In the future you could think about representing armed forces imbalances by soft caps to the amount of mils/docks the player can put on certain productions. Because the % maluses/bomuses are too easy to compensate against each other.

At Ministry of Health today: trans folx & allies demanding public and fully covered access to transition & GAC

We want free hormones, blockers & surgeries. A country with a sovereign currency can afford anything if it has the available resources.
I for one would like to congratulate all Etsy witches on their collectiv and continuing efforts.
What I'm worried about in case the event does happen - is that the Dems will use it as an opportunity to purge all leftists from their party. Especially the DSA. Seeing that a "popular front against a common enemy" will no longer be necessary or convenient for the neoliberal faction
Omg, that's me
I'm

Getting clocked at the National Library
Ok, but the cover goes pretty hard

As does this passage:
'The American system depended upon deeper transactions than elections. (...) Beyond the reach of the popular vote, one that managed the continuing conflicts of democratic capitalism, the natural tension between those two words'
Compromise: Zionists get their own land, but it's part of a US red state. Preferably extremely conservative.
Real.
I was extremely eager when I started reading the first books and then I completely lost it at God Emperor

A Polish-American friend of mine from NYC came to study medicine here in Poland, and even with all the logistics and housing it cost a tiny fraction it would have cost her to study medicine anywhere in the US.

She's now a successful US-based researcher.
