I recently discovered that #portfolioday was designed for finding creative work. While I’m not seeking commission right now, who knows what the future holds.
Hard for me to believe I’ve made 4 full 3d character concepts in two months, it’s not much for some, but it’s a lot for me.

If you’ve already spent 10k hours studying then it’s this, it’s always going to be this. Skilled Vs unskilled work, doesn’t always matter in questions about taste and likes.

I built something like this ages ago. It was cheap, basically free and worked pretty well. I keep reading online that moving blankets and a sturdy frame are the real way to go for small home booths. Last I saw moving blankets were 20 for two. Just in case you want some more sound buffering.

Thought I was doing a bust this time, but I am trying so desperately hard to avoid doing the hair I have worked on literally anything else for her.
Was nice to use the basemesh I re-created. Made tweaks to fit to the designs of her I found on Pinterest.

Hard same, but I‘ve been trying to be kinder to myself about this lately. We have to do things the way they make sense to us. Even if it’s someone else’s “wrong” way. As long as the outcome is somewhere near to what you set out to achieve it’s usually irrelevant how you got there.

100% agree. Thinking about modeling hair will keep me frozen in place for hours paralyzed from the feeling of having to figure out Every. Single. Strand.
Tubes and curves, sectioning and profiling, trimming and designing, shape and volume. NIGHTMARES.

Could never sketch lightly when I was younger, so I purchased a lightbox just so I wouldn’t have to. Moved onto digital, where lightly sketched is just an opacity slider away.
Repeating 2,5,9. Very important when you’re learning, but the only thing people worry about IRL >_<

I was so proud of the code I had managed to learn when I made my first website almost 20yrs ago. Pretty sure I have it saved somewhere. I have no idea how I learned that, or the numbers/excel functions I learned to categorize and organize all my ESO gear.

What I’m trying to say is, you got this.

Are there Microsoft, and Samsung equivalents you’d be willing to investigate?
I love my ipad, but ios can be frustrating with its big brother features, and you’re doing it wrong, here’s how attitude. That being said I do prefer the anti-tracking, pro-privacy initiatives they sometimes get right.
