its really disappointing, especially given that the whole point of the game is 'humans trying to survive in a world overrun by machines', and we start the show not hearing a single human voice. generative AI, even in the context of voices, is the mark of an unfinished game and i hope they realize it

ARC Raiders is pretty fun, the guns feel good and the sound is fantastic, but why is Embark still using genAI for character voices for all of its characters? i didn't take much issue with it in THE FINALS because it was kinda charming and made the announcers ambiguosly human, but I'm not impressed.

Decided to add a Cheat Sheet to the start of the Playing the Game chapter of Vice & Violence 2.0.

Then discovered that outside of travelling, character classes, skills & spells this 500 page game's actual rules can be summarised in two pages.
