This is disturbing and creepy for so many reasons, but it’s also bizarre how much of a push there is for people to ignore listening to their own bodies and instead outsource those decisions to flawed technology.

Passing blame is a huge waste of time. I would let folks bicker and bikeshed all day. Meanwhile, my team and I made decisions and got to work.

I worked for a company where many worked that way. I ran my team the complete opposite. One day, a project went sideways. The VP of marketing wanted to know whose fault it was. I said it was mine. My team, my fault. She looked at me, smiled, and said, I respect that. Matter was closed after that.

Early in my career, I had a director who taught me how to lead a team. At the end of the day, it was his team, his responsibility. If something went wrong, he explained to leadership why. When things went well, he had you explain to leadership why.

I love confusing the crap out of my algo. If it's not showing me something I lost interest in 24 hours ago, it's showing me something I have zero interest in. At this point, it's just throwing spaghetti at the kitchen wall to see what sticks while I'm in the living room.

When using a chatbot, the appeal is getting an answer quickly. Now, there’s a practice that requires you to log in/sign up first before you can even ask your question. The many times I've come across this, I have closed the chat and bounced. I'm looking for general info, not a relationship.
