Fun fact: the trembling child with Vox thumbs upping is my favorite visual joke in the episode 😂

we need to leverage this to secure HIGHER pay for those people. like, oh, you realized your slop generator was useless and my labor is actually necessary? then PAY THE PRICE for finally understanding that. i mean, that should be the obvious lesson here. but alas >.>

I've said this about writing and art -- the goal was not to replace writers and artists with AI, the result was either:

a) *threaten* to replace them with AI, and use that as leverage to be able to pay them less

b) replace them unsuccessfully and pay them less to fix the shit the AI barfed out
This is sometimes read as "look 'AI' isn't working". But the opposite is true.

_This_ is what "AI" is _for_. Push down labor power, push down wages, make employment more insecure.

men in the third age painting an iteration of this scene where for some reason thingol’s naked form is on display and his expression is tortured as he is run through: you already know what the fuck is going on

actually the real thing is that somewhere in later middle earth there is probably art of the death of elu thingol at the hands of a bunch of dwarves that is frankly searingly homoerotic

“banning pornography” is bad on its own but it is imperative that everyone understand that these people consider the very existence of queer people to be pornographic

they consider the most chaste depiction of a queer relationship, or an openly trans person, to be porn and they want it banned
You don’t have to like, approve of, or engage with porn and nsfw work to see how right wing extremists are using fear and stigma around smut to ban queer people from public life, define “good” sex as only between married people for procreation, and otherwise further force white supremacy on everyone

This is why censorship based on nothing more than personal 'disgust'/discomfort is unacceptable. This is why we've been fighting back against you mini-fascists in fandom spaces.

*This* is the logical consequence of the myopic conservative rhetoric you use to justify harassing & abusing other fans.
Many creators in the replies/QPs have said their **SFW** content has also been pulled. Many say their work *is* tagged as queer/LGBTQIA+, though.

What is your comment on those cases, @itch.io?

Why are LGBTQIA+ works being deindexed and removed when they contain no NSFW content?

the SECOND you use your personal discomfort to infringe on other's freedoms, you are no longer a proponent of free speech.

the comments proving OP's point as usual. "surely i'm the exception?" no you are not

none of y'all want to actually reflect on how you ended up drinking the pro-censorship kool-aid, because you care more about being right than preserving freedom of expression and protecting queer rights
There's a direct line from "no kink at Pride" and "no sex in movies and books unless it Serves The Plot" to payment processors feeling completely empowered to censor art globally
