This isn’t about geography. It’s about power — who holds it, who hoards it, and who’s trying to weaponize nostalgia to get it back. The North doesn’t need restoring. It needs reckoning.

QATAR has been linked to Trump family business deals — from luxury golf resorts to a $400 million Boeing jet offer. The same Qatar that cozied up to Jared Kushner during his White House tenure, while Kushner’s firm later received a $2 billion investment from the Saudis. Coincidence? Or a pattern?
Not a base, they say. Just a compound. Just a few jets. Just a few pilots. But let’s ask the obvious: Why is a foreign government funding infrastructure inside an American military installation?
The law is clear.
Only under the narrow conditions of Article 110 — piracy, the slave trade, unauthorized broadcasting, statelessness, or fraudulent flag — may a warship board a foreign vessel without consent. None of these apply to Conscience.
If this were happening to Canadians in Beijing or Tehran, would we still be ‘monitoring’? Or would we be calling ambassadors, issuing travel advisories, and demanding accountability at the UN?

The real question isn’t what the government should do—it’s why it’s doing so little
Start with the bare minimum: stop hiding behind euphemisms like ‘monitoring.’ That’s PR-speak for inaction. When citizens are unlawfully detained by a foreign military, a democratic government doesn’t monitor—it demands. It condemns. It intervenes diplomatically, publicly, and unapologetically.
And all the while, the same Prime Minister who lectures the world about a rules-based order cannot seem to find his own spine when the rules are broken against his own people.
We are told that consular services are being “offered.”
That’s bureaucratese for a welfare call.

It’s the language of paperwork — not principle.
Canadians are told our government is “monitoring the situation.”

Monitoring?

That’s what you do with a storm, not with citizens unlawfully detained by an army that acts with impunity.
Premier Hogan at least remembered what leadership looks like — showing up for his people. Ottawa, meanwhile, seems to be waiting for a poll to tell them how much outrage is politically safe.
Mark Carney can talk all he wants about “rules-based order,” but silence when Canadians are unlawfully detained is not diplomacy — it’s dereliction. You don’t “calibrate” when your citizens are sitting in a jail cell in a country accused of war crimes. You speak. You demand. You act.

I continue to just respect the hell out of this guy
If you come for my people, you come through me.
A classroom should not be a battlefield. Education is not infiltration. Teachers are not groomers.

CRT is not indoctrination.
Gender studies is not subversion.
And philosophy is not dangerous.

This is how authoritarianism creeps in.
Not with tanks.
With terminology.

THE CHICKENS ARE FINALLY COMING HOME TO ROOST

Ryan Walters is out & the investigation floodgates just opened. The Oklahoma AG launched a full audit of Walters’ entire tenure as Superintendent, and it’s about damn time.

Also the education dept website’s being scrubbed of his culture-war nonsense.
🧵
When state agents mock the pain of children, we are no longer debating immigration policy—we are witnessing the collapse of moral order.

ICE admits that up to 50% of arrests in its Chicago raids are "collateral.” These aren't statistics. They are parents taken from their children, neighbors taken from our communities. When does a "collateral" U.S. citizen child's trauma matter? This isn't law enforcement; it's a campaign of terror.

NEW from me:

Several CBS News staffers and insiders told me that the network "is not a good place now" amid the imminent arrival of Bari Weiss as editor-in-chief, who one source likened to Michael Scott of The Office based on her lack of qualifications.

CBS News staffers are ‘literally freaking out’ about Bari Weiss taking over newsroom
EXCLUSIVE: ‘People are using words like depressing and doomsday – feels like some sort of doomsday,’ one source told The Independent about the mood inside CBS News right now.

We all know at least one asshole who didn’t vote for either presidential candidate. What do you think the real reason was for them? Not necessarily the reason they gave you, but the real reason.

Meiselas: So if this 17 trillion he keeps talking about exists, what account is it in? Did he steal the 17 trillion?

Subramanyam: I’d love to see his math on that. I’d love to know why it’s not being returned to the American people if that’s the case.

Unity Point hospital has spent millions on union busting consultants rather than providing nurses with fair wages and safe working conditions. It's wrong and it's bad for patients.

I'm proud to stand with these nurses and Teamsters Local 90 as they fight for what's fair.
