And I know it’s often as simple as “it speaks to you or it doesn’t,” and while I believe that generally, I usually am able to pick out why even things I don’t personally like are popular, but I’m just struggling to find what it is with them. I’m not saying they suck, just trying to figure it out.

Could some Geese fans explain to me what it is that’s driving this frenzy and buzz around them? I’ve listened to all their records, I’ve seen them live three times (all opening for KGLW), but haven’t connected with it all. I’ve read a bunch of rave reviews, but clearly I’m missing something.

I obviously live in their hometown and that skews things but the place they’re playing here is way bigger than where KD is playing in a few weeks

It still kills me that Protective Stadium/BJCC elected to put down artificial turf instead of grass. Birmingham used to get games in the dump that was Legion Field. Protective is way nicer (and smaller) but will likely never get a game because of the playing surface.

Just googled it. That does look like a cool little spot. This'll be my first time seeing him solo too. Had second row tickets here in Birmingham for a show several years ago and had to bail on it to go out of town so I'm excited to finally cross him off the list.
