Ahhh I see! My mother is muslim but half her family is christian and my grandpa was a social studies teacher in Mali, so I was raised learning about both to “choose” for myself but never picked any. For me it’s just God.

Well, Allah is the general name for God, there’s like 98 other ways to say Allah that are specific to certain characteristics of God like “The Merciful” being “Al-Rahim” or “The Creator” being “Al-Khaliq”. Or did you mean that “God” in english can also just be god (lowercase being less specific?)

If you TRULY believe there’s but ONE God… why are you shaken up, bothered, annoyed or anything by how others decide to have a relationship with said God??? So what if they speak another language??

I never understood the judgment of other religions when you are a person of faith. Shouldn’t you understand that it’s all the same God, different interpretations and relationships?? If you truly believe in God why do you feel there are other gods??? It’s all just the One.

People will have negative feelings towards the word “Allah” like it doesn’t just mean God in another language. It doesn’t matter what religion, if you’re saying the word God, that’s literally what Allah means.

So a couple people have now hinted at the idea that Black people didn’t have it so bad post-9/11 because Muslims had it bad. This ignores that there were and are a lot of Black Muslims. This also ignores that more than one group of people can be targeted for state violence. It’s never just one group
