First Orion I'ved finished in awhile. I think I need to do something different with lines, but better to experiment with another piece than to keep fiddling.

Trying to get down a style I want to use for a bigger illustration, but I'm not quite there yet.

Oh! Just wanted to say thanks to all the new followers and such! It's been kinda wild actually seeing the engagement on my last few pieces. I mostly focus on judging my skill based off if I can make what I aim to make, but it's nice having that external validation from time to time too : 3

There are just so many amazing folks out there struggling with way more experience and skill ._. But who knows? There's just so many choices to make and they all cascade out and affect every other one I need to make.

I'd like to think I could scrounge up enough money to subsist with creative work when I'm ready, but my timeline doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the practicality of that even though my cost of living is pretty low now.

I guess the mental hump is if I want to use it as an opportunity to keep up my dev skills and learn something on that front or not. I'd like to think I could avoid getting another tech job... but if I need money in the future and can get one again it'd beat just about any other option.

The portfolio site can be dead simple, so I'll probably just use something like neocities or other alternatives, but for the personal one I don't know if I want to use something like that or go full prop up my own server. Frankly, I think a lot of my web infra knowledge is pretty dated at this point

I've got a couple personal habits to get back in place and a few other chores to get done, but I really should get a personal site together after that. I'm think I want to keep business and personal stuff separate, so I might prop up two eventually. I'm not sure how I want to go about it though,
