I used to stare at his art on the covers of videotapes in the library, imagining the adventures inside and debating how to spend my precious pound. Drew Struzan captured the magic of cinema like no one else. His posters didn’t just sell films, they embodied them. A giant of movie art has left us.

His art & posters are some of the first visuals I think of when I think about cinema - an invitation to watch these stories and worlds.

David Lynch was a dream master. I cannot recommend his books, ROOM TO DREAM and CATCHING THE BIG FISH, highly enough. His films speak for themselves. It's about time I restarted my Twin Peaks marathon.

The Day the Earth Blew Up is delightful, zany fun. It's Looney Toones meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers via Roger Rabbit. My 10-year-old declared it one of the best films he’s ever seen. More of these plead WB. Maybe Coyote v. Acme, eh? Anyways, Bravo to all the creators!

The passing of Jon Kenny is very sad news. I was lucky enough to work with him on Song of the Sea and Wolfwalkers. Everyone knew he was a fantastic comedian, musican and actor (he was execptional as the Bull McCabe on stage); he was also a gentleman, a sweet man and will be greatly missed. RIP Jon
