Transcript - What a strange thing to find. I’m always impressed by multilingual people and error correction.

In the 1980s it was manuals for computer printers that had the reputation for bad β€˜Chinglish’ translations. How is it that 45y later, a company will charge >$60k a pop for a potentially deadly device, and not even engage a native language proofreader to ensure following the (e)manual won’t kill you?
At the beginning of my coffee drinking days, many decades ago, I noted others in this situation, and so decided I would be a black coffee drinker. Has served me well. Only ever add milk or sugar if the coffee is bad and/or cold.
Modern tech companies rather than document or test their product will instead label unpredictable, unwanted behaviour as β€˜intelligence’.
This morning’s irritation is at β€˜Smart charging’ - which is buzzword compliant β€˜scheduled charging’ - except it doesn’t even handle that reliably.
..communication that I just can’t recommend having anything to do with the company. Confident I have stopped at least one intending customer.
Nearly 3 months ownership of new BYD Shark 6 PHEV, and I still get asked by strangers about it ~once per week. I used to list pros/cons, but now I just say I don’t recommend it. I have at least a hundred complaints that started as β€˜observations’, but the company and dealer have been *so* bad at..

It’s been 25y since I had an electricity meter or bill, but took a look at the neighbour’s today, and sheesh! Origin Energy sure hates their customers, don’t they. β€˜Smart meter’ is definitely a step backwards - in terms I expect most people would want. Paper bill seems deliberately hard to read.
What type of dimwit technology company sends an email with β€œHelp us improve! Share your feedback in a quick survey” that links to Facebook?!?

β€˜The Bureau’ website asks for feedback, but won’t allow β€˜symbols’ (basic punctuation - full stop, dash, quotation, exclamation, or question marks).
I didn’t think the Optus Network Status page which has been horrible for decades would ever change - but they have somehow made it even worse.
Mobile signal has just returned - no indication on their website what the problem was, or even if they were aware of it.
I’ve tried many times to use these to avoid paying a rounded-up value - and always been refused.
Now I have this found via Wikipedia to back me up: banknotes.rba.gov.au/legal/legal-...

> At the time, police told ABC News "no issues" had been identified

> earlier in September, prosecutors dropped all charges against Ms Thomas in relation to the protest and she was awarded about $22,000 in legal costs.

Hire idiot thugs, get idiotic thuggish behaviour - citizens, taxpayers pay.
