I haven't posted this invitation, as I thought it was generally implied, but ask me anything about #loneliness

#AMA by tagging me or, if you prefer anonymity, follow and ask via dm. I'll post the response without a name.

Social Media & AI are faint echoes of human interaction & companionship.

If you struggle with socializing, a faint echo can feel like a booming reverberation.

Companies know this & make billions off of our burning desire to connect.

It's not a loneliness epidemic, it's a loneliness harvest.
Fear mongering or simply accurate?

My take, as a coach who specialises in loneliness and social wellbeing:

AI has great potential in many areas, but don't let AI do your humaning for you. Do not outsource love, art or friendship. These are the markers of human excellence – don't give them up.

Humans are no longer necessary. So we’re getting rid of them.

Sending love and respect to my American friends and all those who are celebrating No Kings. Hope your day is safe and joyful. ☮️
The middle statement is false. Though loneliness can affect or be affected by the state of our mental health, it is primarily a social health issue that affects other areas of our wellbeing, too.
The first statement is the false one. While partnership and procreation can be protective factors for some people, "traditional" family formation is by no means a guarantee against loneliness.

Make it make sense.

This Coalition of Cruelty is the most out of touch, least evidence-based government I can remember. (For context, I've been voting for almost three decades.)

It's been a rough few weeks, so I'm sharing a picture of the fat, gorgeous feathered friend who's been visiting me lately.

Kererū can symbolise abundance, a call to nature, peace, transformation, mindfulness and ancestral messages.
