so many of us and allies have the feeling-the knowledge-that our lives, the lives of our people and our hostages count for nothing. That said, most Jews wanted a ceasefire too-after Israel got the hostages all back.

By calling for a ceasefire alone, the implication is that the wrong was all in Israel’s side. I despise Netanyahu and his administration. But this was the worst pogrom of Jews since Holocaust.and they took hostages. Did people really expect Israel to do Nothing?

Sure, Wendy. What upsets me is her implication that calling for a ceasefire was somehow condemned as antisemitic. Everyone decent, Jewish or not, wanted a ceasefire, including probably half or more of Israel. We also wanted the hostages back. Asking for one without the other was offensive.

Ridiculous. We were all calling for the return of the hostages and a ceasefire. Both together. If Hamas hadn’t brutally murdered 1200 and dragged off over 250 hostages, none of this would ever have happened. You should freakin know this.

I can’t help but think today about how many young people were savaged on social media, branded as anti-semites and abandoned by their schools for daring to call for a ceasefire. I remember saying that it was the first time I can remember that calling for ceasefire was regarded as a hostile demand.
