The last we left off in my mind palace, Candy Kong was possessed by the dark spirit of K. Rule, and she now has bright glowing red pupils and one of them’s half-lidded and she wears a cape and is named King K. Andy which is a truly terrible name.

[WIP build stuff]

A green slime blob with curious eyes says "A jar?" to a shocked antelope girl and a dog woman who's considering the events with a ponderous gaze elsewhere. The slime is Plume, the antelope is Tippy, the dog is Mellow.

Plume says, "Like 'when is a door not a door?'"

Mellow says, "A door isn't always a door... I will remember that" and Tippy starts pinching her brow, exhausted.

Tippy says, "Okay, first off, don't... say that kind of thing in front of her.

I took inspiration from 19th century over-fleuralized book cover language and the art nouveau trends at the turn of the century. You can imagine it gilded on leather, right? I continue to think of Scornhorn as a kind of comically anti-vn work & the influences continue to be highly non-video-game.
