Hello, I’m Dr Wally. I believe humanity is one of the universe’s most fascinating experiments — and it’s up to us whether it continues. I post reminders that we’re all in this together. #HumanTogether

The government shutdown is especially tough on men, who are losing $1.00 for every 75¢ a woman loses.
It’s so much more difficult to win when the truth is complicated and the lie is simple.
In other places, integrity meets the edge of a window frame. Today, the senator from Oregon can still stand against deception and control. That’s no small thing. Let’s not forget what a win that is.
There’s a certain hubris in believing that staying out of it keeps your hands clean.
It’s wild to think Congress can barely convene, yet earns more for doing less than most people who hold everything together every day. The imbalance says a lot about what — and who — we value.
Women often lead with an advantage we rarely name: they’ve learned to integrate intellect and emotion, while men are too often trained to separate them. Leadership rooted in both feels more human — and we should be elevating women to lead far more often than we do.
If everything feels like collapse, maybe the work is to build small fires of courage. Little by little, they make a light that lasts.

I thought boycotting meant losing access to the news. But the boycott’s about them taking that access away.
A king wouldn’t allow protesters? Sounds less like defending royalty, more like confusing it with divinity.
Football Sunday is my sanctuary. I manage my fantasy team, make soup for the family, and get to just be for a while. It’s a small kind of peace I protect.

Deep red Alabama is out for No Kings Day!
Thank you for doing the work so many of us believe in but don’t always have the stamina to sustain. Your steadiness gives the rest of us strength.
@gtconway.bsky.social talked me into adding levity here in Johnson City, TN. It’s 80 degrees inside that gingerbread man, but freedom isn’t baked in a day.
Protest is part of how we grow — as people, as communities, as a species. It’s not defiance; it’s differentiation. We’re learning to speak, together. Let’s human together.
This is pretty funny, but it’s also true. We always try to raise children to tell the truth, while they watch adults profit from lies. The contradiction is teaching them, too.
I remember when we were taught that telling the truth made you trustworthy — not naïve. When lies were shameful, not strategic. I miss that kind of culture, the kind that made us want to be good for its own sake.
You don’t get to edit my reality. Not yours to rewrite, not yours to erase
Haha! I may be an introvert, but I’m the kind of introvert who’ll put on a ridiculously joyful costume just to make people smile at a No Kings protest. Sometimes you’ve gotta step out of that comfort zone to save America. #NoKings
