Since I’ve had a couple people asking how I’m doing, here’s a quick update: I’m doing great! Recovery is going incredibly well! The pain is very minimal and I’m mostly just hanging out, watching movies, and napping whenever I feel like it.

For anyone who’s not in the know, I’m not just memeing btw. I had top surgery yesterday lol. Recovery is going really well so far. This is the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. I was only able to do this thanks to a lot of support from everyone. Cheers. 🥂

Oh yeah he’s very ASMR. He usually includes little notes on the screen about what he’s doing if it isn’t clear, but he’s by no means a tutorial.

Although I’ve learned a lot from watching him anyway and have been able to repair some consoles myself because of it.

randomly found this post again after completely forgetting in absolute totality that I wanted to inject "the fucking serfs won't slap the pond" into my lexicon.

my favorite bit of "rich people are Like That" ephemera that I picked up from my Russian literature binge was from a noble character who was complaining about his serfs neglecting their duties, specifically the duty of staying up all night long slapping the pond water in order to prevent the frogs from croaking so that the nobleman could enjoy his sleep at his country estate with its adorable pond. whenever I hear wealthy people's complaints in this day and age the majority of it automatically filters to "the fucking serfs won't slap the pond anymore and it's honestly so destructive and cruel of them to deny me my beauty sleep like this" type statements
