President Trump gave a last-minute endorsement to Andrew Cuomo in the New York City mayoral race on Monday. Trump also vowed to withhold as much federal funding as he could if Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic front-runner, was elected.

It's Election Day in many parts of the country. The governors, mayors, city councils, state reps, judges, school boards, and referendums you vote for today will be a vital line of defense against the Trump regime. You still have power. Use it.

FWIW, social democracies like Norway, Sweden etc have big businesses. They have billionaires.

They also have universal healthcare, quality free education & child care, and programs to curb poverty and food insecurity.

How?

Their billionaires pay taxes and don’t control the government.

The Trump Administration’s cruelty knows no bounds.

First, they refuse to distribute SNAP funds that have ALREADY been appropriated.

Now they are telling starving SNAP families that they cannot get help from grocery stores.

Fund SNAP now!
The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

It's clearer than ever that there's only one candidate for NYC Mayor who will actually stand up to the oligarchs: Zohran Mamdani.

Reporter: SNAP is so stimulative to our economy. There are lots of rural stores where 60% of their sales are SNAP sales. So that rural store might have to shutter its doors. This is our collective struggle. All of us do better when people experiencing hunger do better. All of us lose when they don't
