I made something! Monomarks.at is an open social bookmarking tool along the lines of Pinboard or Delicious, and it's based on ATProto, because I was inspired by @danabra.mov's widely-read post. Log in with your Bluesky account to save bookmarks and browse links posted by the people you follow. 😎

Just that because I'm not sanitising the input on the way in, I can't necessarily trust it on the way out. I definitely *will* support this, I just haven't taken that step yet.

Oh yeah I see — so you're using the at.monomarks.bookmark lexicon, but bypassing the Monomarks app to publish it maybe? I haven't started pulling records from the PDS that were not created by Monomarks because there are some security etc things to think through.

I've had a go at adding support for Korean and a bunch of other scripts in tags, titles and annotations (and I've restored support for emoji tags while I was at it) — have a go and see if it works for you! Would love to know if you see weirdness, I'm sure there will be some.

With Monomarks I gave myself two days to build _something_, and let that define the scope of the MVP — I found that constraint useful!

Today's tweaks:
- If you like the look of somebody else's bookmark, you can add it to your list with the handy 'add' link
- The presentation of bookmarks is more consistent in the various places they appear

My test script suggests that yours *should* work — the first time I tried your handle, it said that it couldn't be resolved, but the second time I was able to get to the auth step (beyond which I obviously cannot proceed!) Where are you getting stuck?

Charlie Kirk was killed by a Groyper, due to that group’s known hatred of his positions, and it’s as obvious as if his killer had “MS-13” tattooed on his knuckles, but the @nytimes.com and others refuse to cover it that way because they don’t respect their colleagues who know this.
