Until ~20kya, Ilkei had a Cretaceous-type climate. Most humans lived in Urolis. The cities of Southbay (claw-shaped part of south Velisia) even started using copper. Then the Kilnlands Eruption (see image) caused the Years of Ash. Urolis was ruined and the climate still hasn't warmed back up since.

I'm not a Buddhist, but it pisses me off when non-spiritual people identify as Buddhists and treat it like it's just a set of philosophies. It's a full religion with deeply spiritual beliefs. Sure it doesn't have gods in the same sense as most other religions, but it's still a religion
