Today's as good a time to remind everyone that the original version of Ninja Gaiden II (2008) was never ported to other hardware without dramatic changes to its balance and the cadence of combat... but Xenia is trivially easy to get running on a desktop computer made in the last decade

You go back and play Ninja Gaiden II (2008) and it's like. God, it's all there. The race to get enemies into a state where you can do a flashy fatality on them to get some breathing room from the horde. Doom 2016, Sekiro, every modern TN game. Shadows of reflections of the pattern drawn in Amber

I’ve said “I can’t start this game until I’ve finished Silksong” about like three different games now; I’m maybe one objective from the end but I’m at 91% completion and I’m stuck trying to decide if I wanna just bang that last 9% out first or just go for the end
