Just as a not so insignificant point, such a level would mean that the majority of people born in the UK would not be able to meet this criteria, considering the percentage (fewer than half) who actually complete A levels, let alone ones which effectively demonstrate an A Level standard of English.

I agree, but the same 'deception' law used to jail lesbians for pretending to be men is used to jail trans ppl FOR BEING OURSELVES (note: I don't think anyone shd be jailed for it, but there's a difference). Ciara's a woman, who said she was a woman, and is in prison bcos the court decided she isn't

-Trans ppl aren't 'deceiving' anyone about our genders. The bloke got a blowjob from a woman
-Trans men have also been jailed for this.
There's no excuse for ruining this woman's life this way.
