Varanemous have one day where you do creative stuff without like getting side-tracked by everything else and when you are finally sitting down ready to start you are either too tired or suddenly start thinking about stupid distracting thoughts again and then that wastes like an hour or more of time.

I would want to be so much more specific about my last post, but I do not trust social media nor the audience of people who know me to even remotely know what I'm talking about to understand it. The people who have a sense of it, knowing enough context about myself, will know though.

People are very complex, and so are communities of people. I know some people share similar feelings, but perhaps in a different "way" so to speak than I do, which is a shame because it makes me feel even more alone about it.

The dilemma I face is this: I don't see enough people like me considering my identity that it feels like being myself authentically is so unexpected that it feels...wrong. In some ways it feels like it works great for being accepted in a culturally unfair society, but in other ways it distances me.

I just lived, without thinking about any of it. And that's not to say again that I want to support socio-cultural blindness, I also don't think that's a good solution because it's simply not the reality of the world. It's just I let my formative experiences shape me without it being so cerebral.

I just have a hard time really fitting in as a result, feeling connected to my communities authentically, it feels like I kind of have to constantly be code switching and it makes experiences feel fake and calculated rather than natural. It sucks because before about middle school I didn't care.

I feel like because of multiple reasons I feel history, the present, and the future constantly staring me down. I feel like I'm this unique sort of anomaly of a person when considering identity. Despite re-claiming labels, it's hard not to feel the lack of seeing others that are like me pull at me.

In some ways I realize these days in real time how labels sometimes really can hurt. It sucks ass because I like being proud of facets of my identity, and contrary to cynical opinions on the subject, not "because I wanna be arrogant," but because of history and how people get treated, but... (1/2)

I notice oddly I like seeing recently people repairing or upgrading crappy OEM desktops. I almost wanna do it myself though it's probably not a great investment. I do have 2 obsolete work pcs sitting around in my family's place.

Agreed, and it's a shame. I don't buy games these days (since gen 7) and like some content I like but it really does feel sometimes like corporate "we know you'll like it cause you know it and its cute" slop to put it bluntly. I may draw some designs, but it does feel like it has no soul.

To elaborate, those introverts that have a a noticeable "forward" personality in a way perhaps but they still aren't necessarily that extroverted generally speaking. Like maybe I can try to make Cerulean a bit more "Cool." so to speak, whatever that means LOL.

I don't have MUCH of a personality for them atm but rn they read to me as one of my textbook "kinda shy, slightly quirky types." might keep both of those descriptors but make them more nuanced and I might actually overall give them a more confident surface-level personality, like some introverts.

It's hard decisions because some people I've talked to like the current design and I don't wanna take that away from them, but it seems (much to even my own surprise) my mind has changed a bit on 'em. Might also give a diff personality too since they currently feel like previous ideas I tend to use.

But yeh I mention bears cause while they don't look TERRIBLY bear-like I found myself referencing bears/anthro bear characters to try to visualize their facial structure. In the future I might make them look much more markedly like a bear, maybe still keeping some of the weird traits, idk.

Their design was just kinda "random bullshit go" in terms of how I created them LOL, so they are kind of a non-specific furry hybrid.

I really wanna change my OC Cerulean's design so bad but I'm also like "Do I need to change them?" Idk I think they CAN look cute but I also feel like I kinda wanna give a different direction for them but I am also bad at drawing bears (ursidae in general) rn and need to practice.
