Many commiserations on your post hitting the Discover feed and being found by Americans.

If you're not spending your life in a Parisian Cafe debating dialectical materialism are you really a socialist?

872,701 is an incredible number of respondents, even for a self-selecting survey. People do seem to feel strongly about the BBC, and they're mostly positive.

Drama & Documentaries are both stand out genres that people like and want more of.

Pretty much everyone is agreed there's enough news on the BBC, thank you. 15% absolute freaks want more.

52% of people who watch sport on the BBC think the BBC should show more sport, in comparison to everyone as a whole where only 32% think they should and 26% said there's too much sport.

Not sure what the 9% of people who thought it isn't important for the BBC "to inform, educate and entertain." thought they should be doing instead.

There's some interesting results in the "Our BBC, Our Future" survey.

This in particular, for example.
43% of you say the BBC is effective in being independent from the government of the day – which 91% of you say is important

I may actually get an engineer to attend today (under warranty, you see) which is stellar work.

God bless British Gas firing all their gas engineers so mine left and started his own company.

Just have computers attend and everyone can save the entire effort.

AI bots wrote and reviewed all papers at this conference
Event will assess how reviews by models compare with those written by humans.

An iron bar, you say? And the water has turned a bit brown, you say? Well I never, what a coincidence I'm sure.

We should have kept a technical barrier of entry to the internet. Can't configure PPP and don't know which S registers to set on your modem? Sorry, no poasting.

Could go and just spend the evening calling him a cunt?

"I have been putting up the flag of Ulster". In Thirsk.

Sure mate, any particular absolutely-not-racist reason you'd chose *that* particular flag that hasn't been in official use since the 70's but happens to continue to be used by sectarians?

Also Wednesday. The EHRC seem to have hurt themselves in their confusion.

The EHRC has finally, five months after producing its wildly transphobic and, we believe, unlawful Interim Guidance now taken it down. Our judicial review challenge to that Interim Guidance will be heard in less than one month.

"Livin' Marxism" makes the RCP sound incredibly bad-ass in an 80's Bon Jovi kind of way.

Another great example of why we shouldn't ever want to emulate America.

I'm not so sure. Just because he's good at talking to people in a way that doesn't make him sound like a politician, that doesn't automatically mean he doesn't understand the things he's talking about. It could just mean he's good at translating.
