And every game after(with semi exceptions for odst and reach) carried on this problem of having multiple weapons sharing the same role with minimal differences. And 343/Now Halo Studios only tripled down on this with the promethian weapons.

And finally, the weapon role duplications.

In CE, you had one weapon for each role.

in halo 2, everything except for the needler, sword, and magnum have to have an equivalent weapon cause of the duel protags and duel wielding.

The plasma rifle became a shell of its former self because of this.

There's plenty of holdout sections to the point of absurdity, and plenty of sections where you're just expected to push through neverending/massive armies of flood/covenant.

The boss fights are either a joke, go on for way too long, or the challenge is the broken balance rather then the boss.

Halo CE and ODST(to a degree in ODST's case) feel fair and not bs on Legendary. I exclusively play CE on legendary nowadays.

Halo 2 is an fps where you're inching down corridors cause a grunt can kill you in 5 shots, a sniper can just look at you and you're dead, and that's not all.

Yes the story is really good.

But holy fuck does it have some of the worst gameplay, general balance, and level design of an fps I've ever played.

I'm never playing it on stream, let alone on legendary ever again.
