the best thing I ever realized about art is that there are LITERALLY no rules what so ever. If I dont wanna draw hands? I dont have to. I can just draw circle paws WHO gives a shit??? Art is awesome

For a long long time I used to avoid giving characters eyepatches because people close to me that I respected told me they were ugly.
If eyes are a window into the soul then an eyepatch is like a locked door hiding a character's deep empathy in plain sight. These days I think they're very beautiful!
