I've read three books by Percival Everett over the past few days, all excellent.
Telephone was particularly good.
Three books by Percival Everett
Top- Telephone
Middle- I Am Not Sidney Poitier
Bottom- Dr. No
I just looked it up, and ouch.
Screenshotted from the Reddit post below. I think I paid about £35 for my copy of the box, which is cheap even for the time.
I recall that the No Quarter vinyl box was very cheap as well. I hope this doesn't mean that this happened to the band twice.

To sum up, the label that released his music priced it incorrectly, meaning that thousands of dollars owed to the group in royalties could not be paid.

Well that was quick - the Shadow Ticket page is already up on the Pynchon Wiki site.
I haven't even finished reading it yet.

everybody’s jealous of me since I decided to get plastic surgery to have Cuttlefish skin. they‘re resentful because I camouflage myself as a brick wall or a gorseberry bush in order to steal their croissants off their plates at cafes. I’ve never felt so beautiful
Isn't it? I've decided to listen to at least one record led by or featuring Wayne Shorter for the whole of October. It's doing me the world of good.
Pancakes, though - that sounds like a lovely idea...
Once again, I am on the Wayne

Yes, yes I know I keep banging on about my fucking book! However, if you want one repost this and I’ll do a random winner pick thing by the end of the week because I’m great like that. ♥️📚

It's great. The label has sadly folded now, but I think there should be plenty of copies floating out there.
Yeah, I didn't know about the Waldron connection.
Or the fact that he was instrumental in getting a few Cecil Taylor LPs released.
Have you heard the Finders Keepers 'Cloud Cuckooland' comp? It's mostly the rock side of the Kuckuck label. A lot of fun.
Thanks Gary! Yes, that's much better.
Absolutely. I didn't realise how busy the label founder was in the jazz side of things as well.
This is an interesting read when you have a bit of time- harmonies.com/companyhistory

Ha- yes, I've not heard this particular one, but it's a pretty safe bet.
To the book shop.
To the flea market.
Good job.
Arranged in a square;

Rhythms Hung in Undrawn Sky - LP by Marilyn Crispell

Shadow Ticket, by Thomas Pynchon

Intuition - CD by Lennie Tristano & Warne Marsh

Where's Your Cup? - CD by Henry Threadgill & Make A Move
That sounds great. I'll keep an eye out for it.
It's a funny label- I have a Popol Vuh lp reissued by them with updated new-agey artwork.
I think they put out a few Deuter records as well.
- though you probably know that already.
The James Newton one looks very interesting.
His solo flute album on ECM is really good.
