But do they employ new LGBT staff? I'm finding so many employers have inclusion statements but I come up against a stone wall at interview. As soon as they clock I'm trans I may as well turn around and leave.

He's right. It really does seem like that. I'm untouchable and unemployable now because of the bigotry and segregation that post-Brexit Britain chooses over progress and inclusion.

Because of statistics like this.
Because every day waiting, in this world obsessed with harassing trans people, is a battle that many don't survive.

So, we keep talking about it, and keep fighting back against systemic transphobia.

I've seen that but words are one thing, action is another. This government don't seem to care about what anyone else thinks, just themselves.

I've seen both. Some are saying things have gone too far, but others are parroting what they read in the media and see on tv.

The letter on trans rights is excellent. I encourage you to read it. With a remarkable economy of language, it pins down and dismantles the transphobic arguments around rights that became common coin in the UK over the past 10 years.

Labour would do well to heed this. But we all know they won't.
