I mean the marquee match is Swerve vs Hangman for the World Title and he is not coming back until World’s End. Darby needs to be preoccupied and away from the title scene. Ricochet needs to placate the Hurt Syndicate. Fletcher doesn’t have a lot of midcard faces to beat. And yeah. It’s AEW in Fall.

It’s still mostly unexplored territory for women’s wrestling in North America given how there are not many notable women’s tag teams. And given how some timey AEW is with their established tag teams, I don’t have a lot of faith in the longevity of it. But it is deserved and needed.

The matches are great. When she loses, she loses cleanly and it isn’t a dusty or dirty finish like the Hurt Syndicate who should have eaten clean pins. And she is working her ass off. What’s the problem?

Mercedes is the second best in-ring women’s performer in the Americas, and she is the 5th or 6th best women’s in ring performer in the world, and that’s because Joshi wrestling exists. The fact that some of yall acted like she “needed to improve” in AEW as if she wasn’t already number 1 is crazy.

I am currently working on something for our union to reach out to members who attend these protests in the hopes of activating them to organize. So it does serve a purpose on that front. I guess.

Not going to dismiss @taliajane.bsky.social point about No Kings protest because she is right, but I can say as someone working in an org that collaborates with indivisible, that the data(RSVPs) that No Kings gets on people is given to us and others so we can reach out to those people to organize.
