I need the interest groups to be more active to get something out of it. This was what I told committees when it was in DC two years ago. Otherwise, I cannot justify attending unless it's in DC or Baltimore.

I admit that's one reason I stopped going to ASHG and APHA. I felt like I was attending a trade show. I feel the same way about AAIC, but I stick with it for my PIs.

Thanks, @aniloza.bsky.social . Really important topic. Is there an opportunity for students, postdocs, and early career investigators at #ASHG25 to attend in-person at a reduced or free rate? I have had some researchers contact me that cost is prohibitive for them, and the #NIH must serve all. 👏
