It would help a lot! Then, people could buy a medigap insurance plan to cover meds, dental & vision etc if they wish. That way, insurance companies still have a purpose to exist in the commercial markets. - US healthcare worker

Very good question indeed! As long as the R’s in Congress refuse to show up for work( yet they get paid & healthcare), food assistance for the most vulnerable needs to continue being funded. Food is a human right.

I know Teen Vogue had really good political articles. I really appreciated reading articles written by younger folks to get a younger viewpoint on different issues. I‘m sad to hear they laid off the political writers. I wish you the best in your next endeavor. Hopefully you can find something.🤞❤️

I can understand both sides. It’s really hard for some folks to put aside their hurt,fear & the anger because they were targeted by maga followers & the cruel maga policies. I get it. However, revenge on former maga followers is no better than the revenge tour 🍊is doing. Revenge begets revenge.☹️

I went to a local agency networked with our regional food bank today. In the lobby there were 10 people when I dropped off my donations & nearby grocery store cards. When I’ve donated before, usually 1 person is in the lobby. Just the 1st weekday after loss of SNAP.It’s going to be nuts soon. ☹️🙏

A lot of people are sharing articles about how to stretch your food budget or cook like our grandparents did to survive.

Our grandparents lived through the Great Depression.

If we’re having to resort to what they did… things are much worse than folks are willing to admit.

I agree with you. Former maga people can interact better with active maga people better than any non maga person could ever do. They can help deprogram maga cult followers and make reason & help get them to re-evaluate. Tolerance is often the 1st step toward acceptance.

Stores instead can donate food to food banks and charity soup kitchens in their communities. That is the other way to help without having different prices for food based on if a customer is a recipient of SNAP. They can also advertise local charities in their stores as a form of public awareness.🤔

The USDA is the fail safe for SNAP.

They have a contingency fund to ensure it’s covered in the event of a shutdown.

They’re refusing.

Grocery stores stepped up to try and help by offering discounts to any SNAP recipients and the USDA told them they had to stop.

Starvation as a policy choice.

Compassion is needed if they are hungry & are now victims of their once believed cult policies. It‘s not asking to trust. See them as fellow intrinsically flawed humans(we all are in different ways)starting to learn to be better. It’s not an easy path, but it can lead to some healing over time.❤️🙏

MAGA remorse. It's an actual thing. And there's no need to forgive or trust them ever again.
But we should refrain from browbeating them.
Resist the temptation. Allow them an exit strategy, to return to decency. They are the ones who can lead others out of the cult.

It’s possible some corporations would do that. The idea I presented is for fellow employees to utilize if needed. It’s not for general public use. It’s an employee optional giving or using thing. It’s a small alternative to not have to stand in line for 1-2 hours after work for just a couple items.

Should Cher develop respiratory issues( wet cold nose, sneezing, lower energy, not eating normally etc) contact your vet and let them know about the Covid in house. There is documentation where dogs & cats have picked up Covid off their human caretakers.

If your place of employment will allow, set up an employee donation area where employees can drop off shelf stable food items & hygiene items for other employees to take from if they need it. Every little bit in so many different places can help reach more people in need. Just an idea.🤔
